Jimmy Turner – Cornerbacks Coach

Jimmy Turner is beginning his 7th year as a member of the Eagles Coaching staff. He is a 1978 graduate of Sherman High School, Sherman Texas, where he was a High School All-American. Jimmy played for UCLA on a full scholarship where he was a 4-year starter at Defensive Back. He graduated from UCLA in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Jimmy was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 81st pick in the third round of the 1983 Draft. He played 4 years for the Bengals and 1 year for the Atlanta Falcons.

His coaching career includes being the Defensive Coordinator at Western Hills High School for 15 years, Defensive Coordinator at Taft High School for 3 years and Running Backs Coach at Woodward High School for 1 year. Coach Turner and his wife, Maryann, have two children; daughter Jamie and son Justin.
