Brian Miller – Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers Coach
Brian Miller is in his second year as a Walnut Hills football coach. Miller came to Walnut Hills from Purcell Marian where he spent the previous eight years as the Head Coach. Miller began his coaching career in 1996 at Purcell Marian where he served as the offensive line coach of Purcell Marian teams that won the GCL North title (1999) and appeared in consecutive state playoffs (1999-2000). In 2001, Miller moved on to Lakota West High School where he coached tight ends and defensive ends. Miller returned to Purcell Marian in 2005 as an assistant and was later named Head Coach in 2006
Coach Miller is a 1991 Purcell Marian graduate, played linebacker and earned All-City, All-Southwest Ohio and All-State honors as a senior. He played collegiately at Kent State University, earning three letters and playing in 44 straight games. As a senior at Kent State, Miller finished in the top ten in tackles in the Mid-American Conference. Brian graduated from Kent State in the spring of 1996 with a BA in English. Coach Miller teaches English and will be in his second year teaching at Walnut. He resides in Pleasant Ridge with his wife Meredith (Broughton) and three children; Arden, Collin and Kyle.
